Ulrike Knospe comes from Essen. She trained as an actress at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz. Important theatre stations are Dortmund, Mannheim, Schauspielhaus Zurich. She has given guest performances in Lübeck, the Bremen Shakespeare Company, the Ernst Deutsch Theatre in Hamburg and teaches at the TASK, Theaterlabor Bremen, FSH Hamburg, among others. In recent years she has played the title role in "Henry IV", Elisabeth in "Mary Stuart", Mascha in "Three Sisters", Margarete in "Richard III", Marthe Rull in "The Broken Jug", Judith in "Christmas Eve" by Daniel Kehlmann and many more. She develops her own (musical) readings, is co-founder of "StückWerkBremen" and on the board of the Freie Agentur Bremen. She regularly works as a narrator for Radio Bremen, WDR and DRS and takes part in TV productions (including "Tatort", "Bella Block", "Der Dicke", "Küstenwache", "Ein Fall für Zwei").
